Abstract
In this paper, the performance of IDMA system is analyzed. In particular, the influence of the user number K and spreading length S on the system user capacity is investigated. It is shown that the user capacity of the IDMA system is related to K/S, not the interleaving length if it is long enough to ensure the random interleaving. Though higher Eb/N0 level and more iterations are desirable, however, the system performance can not be improved infinitely according to the results obtained.
