Abstract :
It is well understood that frequency selective scheduling (FSS) is important in the 3GPP long term evolution (LTE) system. FSS involves a trade-off between the downlink throughput and uplink overhead. For optimizing this tradeoff, the Best M reporting scheme is proposed for compressing the CQI information. In order to optimizing the Best M reporting scheme, this paper proposes an adaptive decision method for the Best M reporting scheme. Computer simulations prove that the proposed adaptive decision method has better performance but lower uplink overhead.
