Abstract :
A local non uniform data collection scheme for large scale wireless sensor networks (WSN) in mobile environment is proposed. It utilizes a modified just-in-time delivery algorithm to detect and avoid coverage holes in query area while delivering the prefetch message to predicted region at predicted time. In addition, we propose a heterogeneous WSN structure for non uniform data service. This structure provides a flexible way for mobile user to define resolution parameters for non uniform data collection and it is energy efficient to establish multi-hop routing. Initial simulations showed that our scheme can provide desired quality of data service in most coverage hole situations and it is more energy efficient than the referenced one.
