Abstract :
View-frustum culling is one of the key technology , which is used in rendering complicated large-scale scene. The rendering efficiency can be improved greatly in this way which makes real-time rendering possible. In this paper, we divide OBBs(Oriented Bounding Box) in the scene graph by Octree. Then, culling efficiency can be improved a lot by Octree structure. The list of viewed-objects can be determined quickly by this search method from macro structure to micro structure. By means of this algorithm, we can avoid detection between all OBBs and view-frustum and improve rendering efficiency.
