Abstract :
Portable multimedia applications are good targets for reconfigurable SoC. Concerning that intellectual property (IP) blocks integrated on a single chip may vary significantly in size, we propose an irregular mesh topology Network-on-Chip (NoC) as the communication infrastructure. We construct the mathematic model of mapping algorithm and take a Video Object Plane decoder as an example. The case study demonstrated the feasibility of our mapping algorithm.
