Abstract
Earlier work on using a digital computer to automate system identification using Bode plots is updated in several respects. First, a matrix of transfer functions is considered, each of which is the product of a ratio of polynomials and a pure delay term. Second, it is seen that a modern recursive least-squares approach may be applied to the problem. The inclusion of a delay term brings about considerably more applicability to the modeling of processes.
