Abstract
The paper considers the problem of decentralized stabilization of a class of nonlinear systems that arises from random parameter variations. Assuming a white parameter perturbation process and using a Liapunov function based aggregation and decomposition technique proposed earlier by the authors, it is shown that the modal control theory which can be utilized in order to design a set of decentralized controllers that will stabilize the composite system. The results are illustrated numerically for a two-area power system.
