Abstract :
A design methodology is presented for decentralized control of a class of linear time-invariant interconnected systems. The Dual Generalized Hessenberg Representation is used to expose the internal structure of the system. This structure is then related to the characteristic polynomial of the composite system. Classical root locus provides the computational tool to carry out the design.
