  • Abstract
    This paper describes a new version of the generalised minimum variance self-tuning controller of Clarke and Gawthrop that is appropriate for systems with large deed times. For such systems, the new version offers a substantial reduction in the necessary computing resources, and, if the dynamics are subject to significant changes, can provide improved performance also.
