Abstract :
A gradient algorithm is presented for the periodic optimization of a class of bilinear systems. The algorithm is applied to two classes of periodic optimization problems which have appeared in the literature, including a problem in the control of a solar energy system. Both first-order and second-order gradient options are presented.
