Abstract :
The paper presents an algorithm to determine linear output feedback gains to stabilize and/or arbitrarily assign the poles of a linear time invariant system. Conditions for the feasibility of linear output feedback control are derived. The feasibility analysis and the control design procedure are based on the dynamics of the eigenvalues of the closed loop system.
