  • Abstract
    The eigenstructure assignment flight control design methodology is extended to include dynamic compensator synthesis. Dynamic compensators may be designed via eigenstructure assignment by utilizing a composite system structure. The success of this design methodology depends upon proper choice of the desired eigenvectors. An example of the lateral dynamics of an L-1011 aircraft is presented to illustrate the design method.
