Abstract :
Nonlinear control strategies are designed for an adiabatic CSTR with an exothermic reaction. Conventional feedback and nonlinear feedback strategies are implemented using the feed flow rate as the manipulated variable. Vibrational control is implemented using either vibrations in feed flow rate or vibrations in both feed flow rate and feed concentration. Experimental results illustrating the performance of various strategies are presented.
