Abstract
Nonlinear Inferential control (NLIC) has been developed as a method for improving control of nonlinear systems. The controller uses a nonlinear model, and allows for use of any available measurements. This paper presents an application of NLIC to a simulated reactor process. The results show a substantial improvement in control over that achieved with PI control.
