Abstract :
A simple, third-order model of a TRIGA pool-type nuclear reactor is developed using bond graph methods. The model describes the nuclear heat generation process, subsequent heat transfer to the cooling pool, and fuel temperature feedback effects. The simple model, to be used as a basis for future feedback control and parameter identification experiments, is validated with two sets of experimental measurements.
