Abstract
A procedure is shown for the identification of the parameters of a linear, discrete, multivariable, 2-D system. The 2-D system to be identified is assumed to have state variables and inputs which are accessible for measurement and is without noise. The convergence of the identification process is assured by an analysis of stability using 2-D Lyapunov functions. The procedure results in the asymptotic convergence of each parameter estimate.
