Abstract :
In this paper we propose a plant model, based on a fractional representation of the loop, which is uniquely suited to the closed-loop experiment design problem. The advantage of this model is that it substitutes a open-loop problem (for which there has been extensive work) for the original closed-loop problem. We also present the results of Monte Carlo simulations which suppport the utility of this approach.
