  • Abstract
    Characteristics, trends and forecasts for advanced materials and configurations for future aerospace motors and generators are shown. Preliminary designs of 500 degree C aircraft engine switched reluctance generators and motors are included. The paper reports on work done at GE and at Simmonds Precision Products Group of Hercules Aerospace Co. in accordance with USAF Future Advanced Control Technology Study (FACTS).
