Abstract :
The piecewise nonlinearity of Chua´s double scroll system is replaced with a cubic nonlinearity. This nonlinearity is analogous to that of the Duffing equation. It is shown through simulation studies that the resulting system responds in a qualitatively similar manner to Chua´s system. Other systems with cubic feedback are discussed.
