Abstract :
This paper develops a model for time constrained operation of a linear controller implemented in a systolic array. The controller has a fixed number of cycles to produce the results. The constraint in the computation time is included in the formulation of a generalized quadratic optimization problem. The solution is explicitely determined. Particular applications to the system approximation problem are discussed in detail.
