  • Abstract
In the present work, we propose a relatively simple strategy for enhancing the performance of a look-up-table-based fuzzy logic controller. The strategy, involving the direct modification of an initial look-up table generated from a "crude" set of linguistic rules, attempts to quantitatively enhance or weaken the rules without losing their qualitative characteristics. The effectiveness of the strategy is verified by simulation of a tank-reactor system with exothermic chemical reaction.
