Abstract
The development of an operational Computer Oriented Metering, Planning and Advisory System (COMPAS) required an interdisciplinary type of work to transfer an experimental version of COMPAS developed earlier into an operational COMPAS. It was necessary to identify relevant operational requirements and to implement an efficient human interface between COMPAS and the ATC controllers. The report covers the design of an operational COMPAS for the Frankfurt/Main Air Traffic Control centre as well as the status of the underlying project COMPAS-OP.
