Abstract :
Control of fed-batch culture of hybridoma cells was investigated from two approaches: optimal control theory and feedback control. Optimal control policy generated a higher concentration of MAb experimentally than the feedback approach for the chosen set-point. In both cases, the viability of the cells is lower than the model predictions.
