Abstract :
The design of control systems for flexible spacecraft continues to be an important problem. In the case of spacecraft undergoing large rotations one needs to consider the underlying nonlinear model if we are to adequately model such a system for the purpose of control system design. In this paper we outline the derivation of a linear model for a rotating system and its stabilization.
