Abstract
A new approach, based on the method of Extended Linearization is proposed for the synthesis of Variable Structure feedback control strategies leading to stable linearizing Sliding Regimes for nonlinear dynamical controlled systems. The class of systems, to which this technique is applicable, is assumed to posses a continuum of constant equilibrium points in the input-output space. The approach is illustrated and evaluated by means of a design example.
