            Abstract : 
A unified design and analysis method for predictive control is developed, using a special input-output matrix representation. It generalizes a large class of existing predictive control algorithms. This framework leads to computational savings in predictor calculations, provides a general setting for the analysis of stability properties, and can be used to specify closed-loop response properties of controlled systems.
