Abstract :
We are interested in exploring some basic ties between LQ variational analysis and operator-theoretic system concepts and observations. The discussion begins with a variational based, Riccati equation characterization of stable ¿ anti-stable state space partitions for LTV systems. It continues with a sample of some LTV algorithms for various standard system factorizations. Finally, an LTV variant of Nehari Theorem is suggested, transformed into a one block model-matching problem and established.
