Abstract :
This paper explores the application of fuzzy logic to detect and contain Kalman filter divergence. The use of exponential-weighting for filter divergence control is investigated and incorporated in fuzzy control algorithms. The soundness of the fuzzy logic design concept for divergence control is demonstrated through computer simulations which are shown to comply with theoretical results.
