Abstract :
This paper presents a direct adaptive decoupling control scheme that on-line identifies the decoupling control gains directly. It avoids the inversion and improves robustness. The framework developed is especially suitable for Cross-Directional (CD) control of sheet production. Numerical simulations with a large system shown satisfactory results.
