Abstract :
A small size DC-DC regulated converter which does not include inductance is descrived. Voltage transformation is achieved by switched capacitors, that is charging capacitors in series and discharging them in parallel or charging them in parallel and discharging them in series. In the case of inverting the polarity of output voltage, the capacitors are connected to the load as the polarity is inverted. The switched capacitors are alternately connected to the source and the load, such that the power is transmitted. Stabilization of the output voltage is achieved by controlling the period of switching `ON´ of the switching elements, that is the method of EWM controlling. The DC-DC regulated converter is built in the form of a Hybrid-IC and confirmed good characteristics during the experiment.
