Abstract :
An improved model of sealed Ni-Cd button cells has been developed to answer diversified requirements needed when used as a backup power source to retain the semi-conductor memory in micro-computers. Its features include: (1) Improved salting-proof performance. (2) Long life at elevated temperature. (3) Lower self-discharge rate. The cells are believed to be highly reliable for use as a backup power source to be mounted on a printed circuit board for computer memory retention.
