Abstract :
In this paper, a technique will be described which uses multiple surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices in parallel to reduce the acquisition time of a direct sequence spread spectrum communication system. Analysis of system performance in both the search and the lock modes will be presented, and considerations relevant to actual hardware implementation will be discussed.
