Abstract :
This paper presents an interference analysis for a Radio Frequency (RF) Multiple-Access communication system. A fast frequency hopping system with soft-limiting, dual-k convolutional encoding and M-ary frequency-shift-keying modulation is analyzed. The acquisition and interference model including false alarm probability, probability of acquisition, optimum integration period, threshold setting, bit error rate (BER) performance, number of users, etc., is derived and an example of a system under consideration for the Space Station is given.
