Abstract :
An upper bound on communication network survivability is the connectivity of the underlying transmission plant. Connectivity is the proportion of network node pairs that remain connected after a network sustains damage. This paper gives the functional relation of connectivity to key network survivability parameters and describes a method to optimize connectivity per dollar.
