On the Compensation for Cross-Regulation Errors in a Forward DC-DC Converter

Multi-output dc-dc converters using the cross-regulation method are widely used to provide several regulated and isolated dc output voltages. However, due to the internal resistances and the leakage inductances of the reactor, there appear some steady-state errors on the cross-regulated output voltages. This paper presents a new method to compensate these cross-regulation errors by employing the auxiliary switching transistors in the cross-regulated output circuits, and describes the analysis of its steady-state characteristics and frequency responses in case of two out-put forward converter.
