Modular Power Supply Equipment in the French Telecommunications Network

This article presents a range of power supply units used for electronic satellite exchanges having a capacity of less than 8000 subscriber lines. A modular design is used and all converters use high frequency (f ?? 20 kHz) for DC switching transistors. A short description of the modules and interfacing equipment will be found, followed by some comments on the benefits of this new equipment for network operation.
