  • Abstract
    A new family of Switched Mode Rectifiers (SMR´s) is described. These SMR´s each utilize a common power train concept, range in power from 125 W to 500 W and are used to power switching, transmission and subscriber equipment. In each application specific modifications are incorporated resulting in an optimum cost/performance trade-off for each design. When compared to conventional (SCR or ferroresonant) rectifiers the SMR´s offer 5% increase in efficiency and 50% reduction in size and weight.
