  • Abstract
Compensation for near-far effects is critical for error performance of a direct sequence code-division multiple-access system. In this paper, we attempt to explore the potential of cooperative relaying to overcome fading and near-far effect in a wideband multihop time-division duplex CDMA (TDD-CDMA) system. A simple adaptive successive interference cancellation scheme in combination with a simple power control is presented for a two-user one-relay multihop cooperative network. Numerical results show that a significant bit error rate performance improvement can be achieved over the direct transmission while both the SIC at each receive user and the power control at the stronger transmit user are considered.
