Abstract :
Equalization is a technique often used in wireless communication applications. In this paper a novel block decision feedback equalizer (block-DFE) algorithm suitable for Chinese digital terrestrial television multimedia broadcasting (DTMB) standard is proposed. Our block-DFE algorithm is based on QR factorization, which is used to solve the least-squares detection problem. We adopt Givens rotations to perform the QR decomposition. The performance of traditional decision feedback equalization (DFE) algorithm, overlap and add frequency-domain equalization (OLA-FDE) algorithm, and block-DFE algorithm under different SNRs is compared by MATLAB simulation, which proves the advantages of block-DFE algorithm.
