Abstract :
The design and analysis of a ten channel interated chirped grating WDM demultiplexer is presented. The device is to be fabricated in silicon on sapphire and is designed to operate in the 0.83 micron wavelength region. Details on the fabrication of the individual components (photodetector array, channel waveguide, and chirped grating) and progress toward their integration are given.
