Abstract
In this paper a new aquisition method for direct sequence spread spectrum systems using multiplicative combined spreading signals is described. The synchronization of the despreading signal is worked out by a nonlinear multi-feedback control loop which is excited by the received signal. Firstly the steady states of the system are calculated as a function of the signal to noise ratio of the received signal and some system-parameters. Secondly the expected time needed for initial synchronization is computed by using some simplifying assumptions about the system. The results of these calculations are compared with measurements and found to be in excellent agreement.
