Abstract :
This paper reports on the study of the Load Commutated Inverter drive, operating with an open-switch fault in the machine-side converters. To improve this faulty operation and increase the availability of the drive some strategies are discussed, in order to decrease the harmonic content of currents and the pulsating torque of the motor. To validate the proposed strategies, experimental results are presented.
