Abstract
This paper presents a simple algorithm for jointly estimating carrier frequency offset and I/Q Imbalance parameters. The reduced complexity algorithm used is previously proposed as an estimation algorithm using 2 long training symbols of the 802.11 a preamble containing 64 samples each. We have shown in this paper that using two short training symbols for faster and less complex estimation scheme is only 1-2 dB below a system without CFO or IQ Imbalance.
