  • Abstract
NGN capability is expected that various types of service will emerge through the convergence of traditional communications with broadcasting and broadband multimedia communications in NGN. Thus, considerations for multiple network and service in CMR environments are regarded as essential for the successful deployment of convergence services. Customized multimedia ring (CMR) is a set of services. CMR consists of the customized ring-back tone (CRBT) service and the customized ringing tone (CRT) service. CMR enables a service provider to deliver multimedia ring-back tone to the calling party and ringing tone to the called party. This recommendation specifies the CMR concept, the principles to support CMR deployment, and CMR deployment models in CS based environment, IMS-based environment and converged network environment. This paper defines the requirements and capability of CMR service and convergence network capabilities for describing convergence service scenarios and deployment models.
