Abstract
This paper proposes an extension of proxy mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) with bicasting for soft handover, named B-PMIPv6. The proposed scheme is compared with the existing PMIPv6 handover scheme by the theoretical analysis and the network simulator. From the experimental results, we can see that the proposed B-PMIPv6 scheme can provide smaller handover latency and reduce packet loss than the existing schemes.
