  • Abstract
With the emergence of the wireless communication technology, it is important to consider the service supporting mobile node. Especially, new multimedia services such as mobile IPTV need multicast technology for efficient delivery of service. Various multicast technologies with use of mobile IP have been suggested, but most of those technologies cannot solve the deployment problem. As an alternative solution, this paper proposes overlay multicast architecture supporting mobility [1]. Although the previous solution of using the relay-based overlay multicast method have been proposed to support multicast service to mobile node, it does not work if mobile node is in the area where MMA does not exist. This paper introduces a revised version of overlay multicast architecture for supporting mobility and also proposes mobility management scheme to support easy of deployment. Thus, the proposed solution will easily and effectively support mobility wherever mobile node exists.
