Abstract :
This paper presents a simple dynamic overmodulation method to obtain a fast dynamic torque response in DTC hysteresis-based system. A fast dynamic torque response can be obtained through the proposed dynamic overmodulation method by applying only single appropriate voltage vector that produces the largest tangential flux component. Using this method, the flux error status produced from the flux hysteresis comparator is modified before it is being fed to the look-up table in order to operate in dynamic overmodulation mode. The effectiveness of the proposed dynamic overmodulation to obtain the fast torque response is verified with some simulation results.
