Abstract :
A novel design method - narrow control bandwidth for the PT power converter has been proposed according to the electrical characteristics and the operation features of PT. The method has been proved through the input matching network of PT. The main contributions are as follows: 1) The functions of the input matching network has been analyzed; the design method has been put forward and the parameters have been calculated; 2) The Pspice simulation results show that the system performance satisfies the proposed requirements; 3) The converter with input matching network is implemented and tested. The crucial waveforms show that the converter can achieve narrow control bandwidth and zero-voltage switching. The output power is 150 W. The efficiency of PT is about 90%.
