Abstract :
The area of reconfigurable computing platform is consolidating itself as a bridge between application specific integrated circuit 1(ASIC) and general-purpose processors. There are two types of reconfiguration(dynamic and static). Dynamic reconfiguration allows thechange of the device configuration on the fly during system operation and permits the time multiplexing of hardware resources. Dynamically reconfigurable architectures are emerging as a viable design alternative to implement a wide range of computationally intensive applications. This paper presents implementation of IDCTalgorithm on CTaiJi, a 16 bits reconfigurable computation platform, which is targeting on streamed applications such as multimedia and digital signal processing. We discuss the key aspects of IDCT implement on CTaiJi, which are also the important aspects in reconfigurable architecture. They are dynamic configure mechanism and the methodof dynamically mapping algorithm onto architecture. From experiment result, CTaiJi shows best performance than others.
