Abstract :
A gridded electron gun was designed to produce a 150 keV electron beam for a Gyro TWA amplifier. The gun was required to operate into the magnetic focusing field of the TWA and produce a well collimated beam. This paper describes the design, and construction of the gun and also the design, construction and testing of a test device designed to test the beam collimation under operating conditions.
